People often use age as an excuse for not taking on a promising but difficult task.

Some say they are too old for business. Others, on the contrary, claim that they are too young and do not have enough knowledge and experience.

However, as life proves, a person can succeed at any age. With due diligence, even children can achieve extraordinary results. This is illustrated in the stories of three young Indian entrepreneurs:

Farrhad Acidwalla

At the age of 13, Farrhad asked his parents for $10 to start an online community dedicated to aeromodelling.

Before reaching adulthood, he sold the project for $1,200 and used the proceeds to found Rockstah Media, a web development, marketing and advertising business.

The young man constantly attracted the attention of the public. In 2012, he was recognized as India’s most promising entrepreneur, he gave interviews to domestic and foreign mass media and, despite his young age, gave lectures at colleges and conferences.

Today Farrhad is 28, and he will surely be able to surprise the world more than once.

Shravan Kumaran & Sanjay Kumaran

The two brothers became famous as the youngest mobile app developers in India. Shravan was 12 and Sanjay 10 when they founded GoDimensions.

To date, the brothers have released more than 10 applications that have been downloaded by about 60,000 users from several dozen countries.

Shravan and Sanjay aim to have their apps installed on half of the world’s smartphones.

Sreelakshmi Suresh

The girl became interested in web design at the age of four and created her first website at the age of six. Sreelakshmi did not stop there — at the age of 11, she launched her own start-up eDesign, becoming the youngest female entrepreneur in India.

Her company has already developed over a hundred websites for various institutions around the country. The girl has many awards, including National Child Award for Exceptional Achievement (India), Golden Web Award (USA), Sixty Plus Education Award (Canada) and others.

Sreelakshmi says:

“Believe in yourself. You are braver than you think, more talented than you know, and capable of more than you imagine.”

Success is available to everyone

These are just a few examples that prove that age is not a hindrance to business.

If you are young, you are full of energy, strength and vigor.

If you are no longer young, your advantages are — rich life experience, wisdom and prudence.
